SYNERGY SYSTEMS TAKES DELIVERY OF NEW VIPER SLA MACHINE
Redmond, WA – 15 August, 2005 – The much anticipated arrival of Synergy’s 3rd and most advanced SLA machine became a reality today. 3D System’s Viper Si2 was uncrated in Synergy’s newly remodeled SLA lab. The Viper, a duel resolution machine, can produce stereolithography parts faster and with more accuracy than previous models.
“The new Viper will take advantage of the newest materials available”, commented SLA Supervisor, Brian DeVore. “We’re very excited and eager to run parts and see what this baby can do.” The Viper will share space with the existing SLA 250 and SLA 500 machines which were also upgraded with new technology. “Having 3 high-tech machines, says DeVore, will allow us to run ‘round the clock”. INJECTION MOLDING DEPARTMENT SHUTS DOWN
Redmond, WA – 01 October, 2005 – After 10 years of molding parts, Synergy Systems has made the strategic decision to no longer offer its customers injection molded parts. The molding department, which saw low sales volumes the past 24 months, really doesn’t play into Synergy’s long-term business plan. “Injection molding had its time and place at Synergy, said President Don Williams, “but the space is needed to support our more profitable CNC machining operation.”
Sealaska Corporation, Synergy’s parent company, will continue to offer injection molding through its interests in Mexico. More information can be found at www.sealaska.com. For a complete list of equipment and capabilities, please visit us at www.synergyproto.com |
